The first 21 tablets have a combination of active ingredients: 2mg of cyproterone acetate and 0.0.35 mg of ethinylestradiol. Cyproterone acetate can be chemically represented as: 6-chloro-17-hydroxy-1alpha, 2alpha-methylene-pregna-4, 6-diene-3, 20-dione-acetate. On the other hand ethinylestradiol is represented as 17alpha-ethinyl-estra-1, 3, 5(10)-triene-3, 17beta-diol. The other seven tablets do not contain any hormone. Other than preventing pregnancy, Diane 35 also cures androgen dependent acne breakouts.
