The TwoDay method of birth control is based on a woman’s body signs for fertility predictions. It is a new awareness technique of a body signals such as vaginal secretions. The technique was developed at Georgetown University. Women from three different were included in the research study. The study found that the new fertility method to be effective and safe.

The TwoDay method is used as follows: Women monitor themselves daily to determine if they’ve experienced any secretions each day. If she has noticed secretions two consecutive days then she is potentially fertile. If she did not notice secretions for two days in a row then the probability of becoming pregnant decreases. Couples choosing to use this method should avoid unprotected intercourse during the days when secretions are present and a woman is potentially fertile. A woman can check for the secretions at the same time every day, in the afternoon or just before going to bed.
