Women with high blood pressure should be more cautious while taking birth control pills. They might be the victims of several side effects. However, these side effects are case specific and not general in nature. Birth control pills have both positive and negative impact on acnes.
In some cases, these pills diminish the number of acnes while in other cases they aggravate. Nausea and vomiting are other common side effects of birth control pills. Not only women with high blood pressure but also normal women can fall prey to these side effects. These pills can create tenderness and enlargement of breast size. Decrease in sexual appetite, severe headaches and bloating are other common side effects. Many women have the wrong notion that they will gain weight after taking birth control pills if they have high blood pressure.
But, this is not the case. There is no positive correlation between weight gain and birth control pills. These pills might create depression. Pills with combination of estrogen and progesterone increase the blood pressure of women. They might increase your cholesterol level, cause blood clots or create allergic reaction. Women with high blood pressure are advised to take birth control pills with due consultation with doctors. |
