Birth control pill contains two active ingredients which include the synthetic version of the progesterone and estrogen. The synthetic version of progesterone is known as progestin. This triphasic birth control tends to change the hormonal level once every week during the 21 days. Similar to the biphasic birth control pill the last seven pills are placebo pills which contain no hormones.
